Hello, my name is Hari Om. I am 41 years old and I live in Indore. Three years back, I suffered from hyperkalemia. This condition had a huge impact on my life. During the initial stages, I did not develop any major symptoms. In fact, it took me a while to realize that I had been suffering from such a major disease. I developed the following initial symptoms-

• Abdominal pain
• Chest pain
• Muscle weakness or numbness in limbs

My diet was high on potassium. I used to consume a lot of potassium, bananas, spinach, and beetroots. One day, when I got up in the morning, I began to experience severe pain in the abdominal area, followed by loose stools. I ignored these early indications. A week later, I began to feel weakness in my muscles and my limbs went numb. I stopped going to the gym for a few days but did not compromise on my high-potassium diet. It was then that I developed severe chest pain and I realized that something was wrong.
